These prices include accommodation, all meals (Sattvic vegetarian food, three times daily), course materials, and all tuition fees. There are no hidden costs. Yes. Rishikesh is widely considered one of the safest cities in India for international solo travellers. It has a calm, spiritual atmosphere and a local community that is welcoming and respectful toward yoga students. The Tapovan area, where Mira Yoga Retreat is located, is particularly quiet and peaceful. We have hosted students from over 40 countries, including many solo women travellers, and safety has never been a concern.
Our TTC package includes: full accommodation in the ashram (private or shared room), three Sattvic vegetarian meals daily, all course materials and textbooks, tuition from experienced teachers, daily yoga and meditation classes, excursions and cultural activities such as Ganga Aarti visits, Yoga Alliance certification upon completion, and support for visa and travel questions. The only things not included are your international flights and personal shopping.
Rishikesh is a year-round destination for yoga teacher training. The most popular months are October to April, when the weather is cool, clear, and ideal for practice. March, April, and early October are particularly beautiful, with mild temperatures and clear Himalayan views. July and August are the monsoon months — still a good time to come, but expect rain and higher humidity. We run monthly TTC batches throughout the year.
The most convenient route is to fly into Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi. From Delhi, you can either take a short domestic flight to Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun — which is approximately 45 minutes from our ashram — or travel by train or bus from Delhi, which takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. We are happy to help you plan your travel and arrange an airport pickup. Please get in touch with us after booking your course.
Most international students apply for a Tourist e-Visa to India. It is the simplest and fastest option. You can apply online before travel and typically receive approval within 72 hours. When asked for your purpose of visit, you can state “yoga retreat” or “sightseeing.” There is no special yoga visa category. The tourist e-Visa allows a stay of up to 90 days, which is more than enough for any of our programs. Please check your country’s specific visa rules before applying.
